Kabootar in one page
A WhatsApp assistant for the team: reminders, check-ins, memory, Meet calls, voice notes. The full manual has the details.
Wake it up
- Direct message: just write. (You need to be added by the admin first.)
- Group: @mention it, reply to one of its messages, or use a nickname like kabu.
- Plain words, any language. No commands.
Things to say

Confirm by reacting
After a voice note, Kabootar asks Want me to …? React 👍 to confirm. React to that message:
- Yes — 👍 ✅ 👌 🙏 🔥 💯, any heart, any happy face.
- No — 👎 ❌ 🚫, any sad or crying face.
Only you can confirm your own request, once, within an hour. Typing "yes" as a reply works too.
Who sees what
- A group's memory is for that group's members only.
- What you tell it privately stays private. Others only know what was said in groups they're in.
- In a group it answers only from that group's memory; anything more comes as a DM (Sent you a DM, Sidhant.).
- It never claims to have done something it didn't do.
Admin in five steps
- Start the app, open the dashboard (
http://localhost:3022or your server address), scan the QR with the WhatsApp account that becomes Kabootar. - Keep the password it shows (it's also in that account's own WhatsApp chat).
- Paste an OpenRouter key, pick a model, set a username.
- People → add your team by phone number, or from the Unknown tab once they've messaged. Name groups there too. Nobody gets a reply until they're added.
- Optional: Bot Settings → Behavior sets nicknames and tone; → Google enables Meet (see the manual); keep $0.50 of OpenRouter credit for voice notes.
